Insights from the first generation of the mobile app showed that users had difficulty navigating and were missing key features. The second generation radically improved both the user experience and functionality by introducing two user types: non-car holders and car holders. Each type received a customized interface to suit their specific needs for connectivity and car sharing, among other features.

The redesign also incorporated the refreshed brand guidelines, giving the app a modern facelift that aligned with the company’s new digital identity. Key features like real-time car availability and easier management of car services were added.

As UX Lead, I mentored and advised designers on the conceptual and detailed work, ensuring that branding and interactions aligned across channels. Extra happy that the redesigned app won the Red Dot Design Award 2023!
